I have a grandfather clock that is almost 200 years old. I grew up with the clock in my home and have fond memories of hearing that chime as a child. It was recently returned to my family after being
in the care of others for several years. When I got it back it didn't run, the chain was wrapped around the parts inside and it was very dirty. Steve treated my clock with the utmost care just as if
it was his own. He breathed new life into my clock and it lives again! I can't say enough about the great treatment and tender loving care he gave my clock. I highly reccomend Steve and I truly
appreciate his honesty and hard work.
Thanks for bringing back an old friend!

I had a Swiss Army watched that never worked. I had been to a local jewelry store and they changed the battery but that was the problem and didn't seem to want to look into the problem. I took it to
Steve and within a couple of hours he called me with the problem and ordered the part and had it back to me a two days later.
    GREAT SERVICE.

When my clock in our family room suddenly quite working I was thrown into a panic. Do I replace it or repair it! It wasn’t that old but we have really enjoyed it over the last several years. I wanted
it repaired. I began my search on the internet to locate an individual or a location to have it repaired fully expecting to have to take it out of the area. By chance I found Steven Hileman and his
Antique Clock and Watch Repair Shop on the web and met with him shortly after contacting him. He told me confidently he could repair our clock and the pricing was reasonable. In fact he repaired it
better than original with an upgrade of the timekeeping mechanism. I got our clock back in no time and it is back in its rightful back in our living room. Thank you Steve!

  • STEVE J (Tuesday, May 29 12 04:46 pm EDT)

    Steve:

Thank you so much for bringing my grandfather clock back to life. I did not realize the process was so intricate. You did a fine job and your price was more than reasonable. I also appreciate you
taking the time to show me how everything works. Very good work - not just on the workings of the clock, but also on the wood!

    Thanks again,

    Jeremy Burnside

I'm proud to give a follow up report on my late fathers chiming Elgin mantle clock that Steve worked on,needless to say the piece provides highly accurate time and chimes on the quarter hour just as
I remembered as a child over twenty years ago. When I hear the wonderful Westminster melody on the hour I feel at home again, I have not seen the piece function correctly for so long, it simply
required a dedicated person with the knowledge to repair such a clock. In these modern days clock repair is a lost art, it seems we live in the age of "China Syndrome", that is you purchase an item
most likely manufactured in China only to throw it away if it breaks and purchase a replacement. Its comforting to know that we have a local dealer to breathe life in our family heirlooms. Thank you
again Steve, my friend for everything you do.

  • andy & cathy mckenzie (Friday, January 27 12 11:30 pm EST)

  • Pete (Thursday, October 13 11 11:07 pm EDT)

I have a Hamilton pocket watch my grandpa gave me in 1970. I got really nice advice about preserving the value of this piece. ...and a good cleaning too. It's keeping accurate time again.

Prompt service. Knowledgeable. I will definitely deal with you folks again.

  • Darrel M. (Sunday, October 09 11 08:22 pm EDT)

I officially met Steve a month or so ago quite by accident. You see I have two heirloom clocks that have meant the world to me as my father passed in 1999, we had searched the southern Ohio area for
a proper clock smith to help repair our timepieces, but was completely out of luck! There was not one jeweler for miles who even had the knowledge to work on a 1951 Anniversary clock much less an
Elgin chiming mantle clock. So here these beautiful timepieces sat waiting for help for at least 15 long quiet years. Steve sat down with me and explained everything that he would be doing as it was
finally time for the Anniversary clock to spin its weights beautifully at home again. Not only that, but I completely had the clock refurbished and polished to its original luster, a sight that had
not been seen since the German shop it was purchased from in 1951. Our mantle clock is next to breathe life again, I simply cannot wait to hear the chimes on the quarter hour and the familiar
Westminster chime on the hour, and I have complete faith that Steve will have our clock running like new again. Expect to receive nothing but the best service, you will be extremely pleased with the
outcome of the work Antique Clock and Watch Repair will provide for you. Remember, the high cost of a low price is when the work has to be done again properly, where the so called good deal turns to
    disaster. God Bless.

  • Bob In Southern Ohio (Sunday, October 09 11 09:31 am EDT)

Met Steven for the 1st time and was impressed with his knowledge about a watch I had just purchased. I needed the band made larger, He was very-very knowlegeable so I set up an appointment to meet
him the next week-end. He not only remembered our appointment but he brought his special needed tools. He did a great job repairing my watch, it runs supper and looks brand new. He made sure I knew
the special operational features of the watch--He is extreamly reasonable and I really can't say enough about his knowlege. I thought I would have to go to Columbus or Cinncinati to have my watch
worked on. I have a 130 year old clock, when it need repaired I will not hesitate to drop it off for repair with Steven.
